Dive the Megalodon Tooth Ledges

Join us in Wilmington

For our weekend dive trip to Wilmington, we partner with Aquatic Safaris SCUBA Center, Inc. for the best diving in North Carolina.  You'll search for vestiges of bygone eras with one day of spectacular wreck diving and the other day looking for prehistoric megalodon teeth and other fossils - a very special experience for sure.

The prehistoric megalodon, whose name means "large tooth," is believed to have been the largest shark that ever lived.   This extinct species' fossils have been found some of which date as far back as 23 million years.  Join us for this exciting weekend trip and see what you can find!

Besides the Fossil Ledges, we have access to a large number of WWII-era wreck sites that provide shelter for a variety of warm-water aquatic species. Some of the better known wrecks include the Hyde, the John D. Gill, and the Normannia.  Schooling sand tiger sharks, sea turtles, barracuda, and others await your arrival.

More About Wilmington

"Wilmington is a port city in North Carolina.  It's known as a gateway to Cape Fear Coast beaches like Wrightsville, with its strong surf, and Carolina, with it long boardwalk. Part of downtown's History District, the Riverwalk is lined with restaurants, galeries and shops.  It runs along the Cape Fear River, where the Battleship North Carolia is moored. Artifacts on the ship explore WWII naval combat history."  -- Google.
